Refund & Cancellation Policy

This policy explains how cancellations, date changes and refunds are handled for bookings made through XTC Search Flights. Two separate sets of charges can apply to any change: (1) the cruise line’s own cancellation or change penalty under its fare rules, and (2) our service fee for processing the request. Both are disclosed to you before you confirm any change.

1. Cruise line cancellation penalties

Cruise lines set their own cancellation schedules based on how close to the sail date you cancel, and these vary by cruise line, sailing and fare type. As a general guide:

The exact schedule for your booking is confirmed in writing at the time of reservation and again in your cruise line invoice. Promotional, non-refundable fares may be 100% non-refundable from the time of booking; this will always be disclosed before you pay.

2. Our service fee

Exact fees depend on the cruise line, fare type and how far the request is from the sail date, and are always quoted before we process your request.

3. How refunds are issued

• Refunds are issued to the original form of payment used at booking
• Cruise line refunds are typically processed within 14–30 business days of the cruise line confirming the cancellation, though timing varies by cruise line
• Our service fee, taxes already remitted to third parties, and any non-refundable promotional deposit are not included in the refunded amount
• If you paid with a credit card, refunds may take one to two additional billing cycles to appear on your statement

4. Travel protection claims

If you purchased optional travel protection, cancellations due to covered reasons (such as illness or a covered emergency) may be reimbursable directly through the insurer, separate from the cruise line and agency refund process described above. Claims are filed directly with the insurance provider under their policy terms.

5. Involuntary cancellations by the cruise line

If a cruise line cancels or significantly changes a sailing, the cruise line’s own compensation policy applies (which may include a full refund, future cruise credit, or a comparable alternate sailing). We will help you process whichever remedy the cruise line offers and will refund our service fee for that booking in full.

6. How to request a cancellation, date change or refund

2. We confirm the applicable cruise line penalty and our service fee before making any change
3. Once you approve, we submit the request to the cruise line and provide written confirmation
4. Any refund due is processed to your original payment method per Section 3 above
